Micro-Computing on a Budget: Exploring Programming with the BBC Micro:Bit

Event DescriptionThe BBC micro:bit is a handheld, programmable micro-computer that can be used for all sorts of cool creations, from robots to musical instruments – the possibilities are endless (AND it only costs $15!). Micro:bit can be coded from any web browser in Blocks, Javascript, Python, Scratch and more; no software required.

Join us for an opportunity to explore the versatility of the Micro:Bit, as well as the many inexpensive add-ons and extensions available for this hot new edtech product.

Look out for the addition of micro:bits to the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation STEAM Lending Library this winter.
