Integrating Virtual Reality Into Classroom Instruction

Event DescriptionVirtual reality headsets hit the mass market just over a year ago and has created buzz around how this new technology can be integrated into classroom instruction.  This workshop is designed to provide educators of any content area a foundational understanding of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies. Collectively, we will critically analyze how this technology can be thoughtfully infused into instruction and co-design immersive and engaging learning experiences.

Technologies that will be explored include the Google Cardboard, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, along with exploring new headsets that are expected to be released this fall.
