December 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Cost | Free

Event Description |

Have you ever thought about creating a space that allows your passion for creativity and innovation to grow? How about catapulting that thought to the next level and creating flexible learning spaces for all learners, adults and students? Welcome to Human-Centered Design – the design movement that develops solutions in the service of people.

During this session, we invite you to into a process that starts with the people you’re designing for and ends with new solutions that are tailor made to suit theie needs. Through this process, collectively, we will generate tons of ideas; build a bunch of project designs; share what you’ve made with strategic teams; and eventually put your innovative new solutions to the test.

During the morning session we will meet in the transformED space at the AIU to investigate the three phases of Human-Centered Design:

Phase 1-  Inspiration Phase;

Phase 2 – Ideation Phase; and

Phase 3 -Implementation Phases of Design Thinking.

In the afternoon, we will visit local maker space/design thinking locations to see the end result put into action!
